To create a distinctive model, adapted to the regional situation and challenges.
As part of this program,
the Outaouais submitted an application in 2018, with the objective of enriching the student experience in innovative environments and strengthening entrepreneurial culture on its territory. Among the first three regional poles created in the province, the PESO has contributed to the development of initiatives such as an innovation center and business incubator (LABoite), the Cegep’s Fablab, the School-Enterprise, an entrepreneurial happening and the Révéler l’étudiant de l’avenir (Ré-V) project.
In September 2021, the Ministry of Higher Education proposed new objectives for all regional hubs. These new objectives were gladly adopted and integrated with the initial two intervention axes to better address students’ needs and regional challenges.
