Description
The theme of gardening was used in the project to transfer knowledge into experiences and in turn created skills that can be used in future employment situations.
Experiential education approaches were used in many of the pedagogical activities. This type of teaching approach is an innovative way to encourage and teach about entrepeneurship and collaboration in many different ways.
Students learned about planting seeds, gardening skills and how they related to mental and physical well-being and did so in collaboration with UQO and Cegep de l’Outaouais. The common interest of gardening was used to bridge language barriers and various social, educational and cultural differences.
